Migraine Information Leaflet: What is migraine auraDownload this factsheet

This booklet discusses migraine aura, also referred to as "classical migraine". It is the collective name given to the several types of neurological symptoms that may occur just before or during a migraine headache. People who get migraine with aura can sometimes sense when an attack is coming on as they may experience certain symptoms, such as feeling tired, thirsty, hungry, euphoric or excited up to 48 hours before an attack, during the 'prodrome' (warning) stage. For some the aura can actually be as bad as the migraine itself, or much worse.

The leaflet is available as a PDF download. If you would like to receive a printed copy in the post please call us on 08456 011 033 or email info@migraine.org.uk.
