Migraine Awareness Week 2017

Breaking migraine stigma together

This year during Migraine Awareness Week which runs from Sunday 3rd to Saturday 9th September we will be continuing to raise awareness of migraine and the impact it has on all those affected.

Migraine is a highly stigmatised and misunderstood condition, with those affected often left to suffer in silence, feeling all alone and isolated.

We want individuals who suffer from this debilitating neurological condition to get the support they need and at the same time educate and encourage non-sufferers to increase their understanding and support of the disease.

We are kicking starting this year’s activities with an Migraine Information Event in Shrewsbury on the 2nd September, which is suitable for patients, friends, family and colleagues. Our Migraine Insight Events have proved to be very popular and well received. Those that have attended have found the wealth of information provided on the day on migraine diagnosis, treatments, prevention and emerging therapies to be extremely useful. This Migraine Awareness Week we want to ensure that no one is left feeling isolated and afraid due to migraine. We are here to ensure that no one suffers alone and no one suffers in silence.
