Migraine Action at the BMA Patient Information Awards 2016

Ride the Lightning shortlisted for its Excellence and Value by the BMA patient Information Awards

Migraine Action Ride the LightningThe BMA patient information awards (PIA) were established in 1997 to encourage excellence in the production and dissemination of accessible, well-designed and clinically balanced patient information.

The awards are designed to reinforce the BMA's commitment to support good educational practice and acknowledge new approaches and technologies intended for the public audience.

BMA President Professor Pali Hungin presented the annual BMA Patient Information Awards at a reception at BMA House on Monday 12 September 2016. We, here at Migraine Action, were shotlisted for our Ride the Lightning Booklet, along with a select few other fantastic charity resources, for our excellence and value.

The judges noted that, “Lots of care has been taken to involve young people [in the creation of Ride the Lightning] and to think about how to ensure it reaches its target audience.”

We are absolutely delighted to be recognised by the BMA for Ride the Lightning, but more importantly so glad to hear that those who need it most are being provided the information they deserve about their migraine.
