81 year old reaches 10,000 feet to support those affected by migraine

81 year old Jill continues to raise money for her incredible journey, to support all those affected by migraine.

In Challenging Migraine January 2015 we told the amazing story of Jill Burberry's climb to the top of Taktsang Gompa, The Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan, 10,000 feet above sea level. We'd like to thank you all for your continued donations - to date Jill has raised an incredible £1,633.16 for Migraine Action!

Suffering from this neurological condition all her life, Jill wanted to raise funds for what she believes is a much neglected cause. At the age of 81 the challenge was daunting;

“It was tiring, and I did not dare take my eyes off the path or steps for fear of losing my footing. The disorientation I experienced from constant physical effort and the receding landscape, I seriously feared I would have to give up … but to the surprise and delight of our guide, I made it to the top!”

Jill told us how she never expected to raise so much money “I would have been delighted with £5 and had no expectations of raising so much for Migraine Action! Thank you to all the wonderful contributions from good hearted people.”
