2018 Migraine at Work

Friday, June 8th, 2018

The EMHA (European Migraine and Headache Alliance) together with the AEEMT (Spanish Association of Specialists in Occupational Medicine) is setting up a European Project with the aim of knowing the real situation of migraine workers within companies and that will constitute the starting point for further improvement initiatives, the implementation of preventive measures as well as to compare the situation between participating countries. The ideal target achievable is around 500/1000 responses per country depending on the number of inhabitants.   Last May 11th, the project "Migraine at work" was presented during the MHIPAS organized by EMHA in Amsterdam and from next June 1st it will be launched in the following countries: Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, England and Norway (included by express request).   From that date - June 1st - the single link for all the countries to participate in the project and complete the questionnaire would be as follows:   • Through the EMHA (European Migraine and Headache Alliance) page:   https://www.europeanheadachealliance.org/   • Or directly in the link created for the study:   https://es.surveymonkey.com/r/Migraineatwork-EMHA   The approximate time to complete this survey is 6 minutes.   For further information you can find the presentation of the project in the link: https://www.europeanheadachealliance.org/project/migraine-at-work/   To choose the language in which you want to complete the survey, you should go to the top right of the page and click on the drop-down menu. Once this is done, the following available languages will be displayed:   - Spanish - French - German - Italian - English   An email account has been enabled in English to answer any questions that may arise during the development of the survey and the project:   info@europeanheadachealliance.org       The medical coordinators in each country are: • Spain: Dr.Teófila Vicente • Germany: Dr.Mª Teresa Bernal • Ireland: MAI The Migraine Association of Ireland • France: Dr. Mª Jesus Terradillos • Italy: Dr. Patrick Cadeddu • England: Ms. Andrea Rodríguez (EMHA) • Norway: Hodepine Norge   We hope that with the information obtained from the study we will be able to reach interesting and valuable conclusions for Labour Health, affected people, the different organizations as well as for our speciality - Occupational Medicine – by highlighting in the questionnaire specific aspects of the labour work that had not been considered nor valued before.   The results will be analysed globally and participating countries will be able to work on them locally; this will allow both to compare results between countries and to implement subsequent protocols in accordance with existing regulation of prevention of occupational risk in each of the countries.
