On the 11th January BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, launched the 'Wellness' topic of the Savvy Citizens campaign.
For a period of six weeks the main focus of the Savvy Citizens website (http://savvycitizens.bcs.org) will be dedicated to helping the public become savvier about health, in particular how to access, manage and use health information.
Savvy Citizens aim is to help people become savvier in how they access, understand and manipulate information in today's information society.
With the help of charities like Migraine Action, HEART UK and Men's Health Forum and experts such as BBC's Dr Sarah Jarvis, the site will be showing the public how to access and evaluate sources of health information online, use services such as NHS Direct and provide handy tips on how maintain a healthy lifestyle and improve general wellbeing.
Migraine Action has prepared a blog all about migraine and how to manage the condition as part of the campaign. This can be found at http://savvycitizens.bcs.org/category/wellness/
