1975	Lord Platt presents gold medals awarded by the Association for outstanding research into migraine to Dr. Edda Hannington, Professor Merton Sandler and Dr. Mousa Youdim.
1976	Association awards gold medals to Dr. K.M. Hay M.B.E., Professor Murray Harper and Professor James Lance.
1983	Association makes award to Dr. Marcia Wilkinson for her work with migraine sufferers and in research.
2000	World Headache Alliance inaugurates the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Award to recognise women who have made a significant contribution to the understanding of headache disorders. Dr Marcia Wilkinson is the first winner.
2001	Jo Liddell, president of MAA, wins Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Award.
2002	Dr Anne MacGregor wins Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Award.
