Various clinical studies are carried out to try and understand migraine including its causes and treatments.  These studies use volunteers as research subjects to help them assess the possible connection between migraine, its causes, and other related factors.

How you can help

You can help by volunteering to take part in one or more of the following studies that are currently being undertaken. Your active participation in a clinical trial or study can help to create a better understanding of the condition, and help to develop new and improved treatments.

Volunteers are currently needed for the following studies:

  • Neck dysfunction in migraine
  • Chronic Headache Investigation
  • Volunteers wanted to test preventative medication
  • The Prima Trial
  • Oxygen as a preventative
  • Migraine and PFO (North Midlands)
  • Menstrual migraine and genetics study
  • Frequent use of painkillers complicating chronic migraine study
  • New medication for adults who have headache for more than 15 days
  • How migraine impacts people's life.
