The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has published its 'Nursing Counts' manifesto which outlines the issues that it believes should be the health priorities for the next UK government.
One of the key aspects of the RCN manifesto is 'Improve care for those with long term conditions by supporting and investing in specialist nurses. The RCN is calling for every patient with a long term condition to have guaranteed access to specialist nursing care.'
At Migraine Action we know that many migraineurs have found the support of specialist nurses vital in their management programme.
If you would like to read the RCN's manifesto and support this by signing online you can do so by visiting:

Don't forget that if you have a specialist nurse or other healthcare professional who has really helped you with your migraine you can nominate them in Migraine Action's 'Migraine Heroes Healthcare Awards 2010'. Visit www.migraine.org.uk/heroes for full information.
