In response to our request earlier this week for volunteers for a new Chronic Refractory Migraine Study (original news post below), thank you so much for the interest shown. We have had an overwhelming response from members and visitors to our website.
The prescreening of volunteers has been completed and the places on the trial are now filled.
We regularly receive requests to help with research projects, so please check the news section of the website for future opportunities. Lee Tomkins, Director, Migraine Action.

Semantics MR Ltd is appealing for migraineurs who live in the Greater London area to participate in a new 'Chronic Refractory Migraine Study'.
To participate, volunteers should be Chronic Refractory Migraineurs (suffering migraines approximately ten times a month) and will need to travel to Clapham, South London to take part in a 45 minute one-to-one interview during February 2010.
The interview will focus on how Refractory Chronic Migraine impacts on the everyday life of patients and on the patient's experience of different treatments and medication.
Participants will be offered £60 for their time at the end of the interview session. Travel expenses will also be paid.
Interviews will be audio recorded (for analysis purposes only) and participant's names and contact details will not be passed to any third party or linked to interviews, and answers will be treated with the strictest confidence. Patients' anonymity and confidentiality will be treated with the strictest confidence.
Data will be collected and aggregated on a national and international level and will ultimately be used in the research and development of new treatment therapies for Chronic Migraine Sufferers.
If you may be interested in taking part in this study please contact Lee Tomkins, Director at Migraine Action for more information. Email leetomkins@migraine.org.uk or call 0116 275 8317.
